A suggested way to use this course

Welcome!

You may be thinking (and I get this asked frequently),

"Shiv, what is the best sequence of using these resources?"

While there is no one single way that suits everyone, it is best to simply understand what each resource does and determine when is the best time for you to go over them.

Having said this, here are my thoughts.

Generally speaking, these resources are used best after at least one round of end-to-end PMP study.

'Ace Your PMP Exam' series is an exception to this - which are Knowledge Area-wise collection of all concepts. I would recommend reading this series first before beginning in-depth study of PMP syllabus, and then during the week before the exam, as a means of revision.

During your studies, you can use the following whenever you have short study cycles available -
  • PMP Mnemonics
  • PMP Flashcards
You can go over the following before taking Simulators / Sample questions -
  • Formula Guide
  • PMP question types
  • Exam taking strategy
The following may be useful in the week prior the exam -
  • Exam cheat sheet
  • Brain dump

On the eve of the exam day, you may go over all short study resources - cheat sheet, brain dump, formula guide and so on.

Again, Each student has their own approach, so the above is a suggested approach keeping in mind the best time to use and get the most out of each. You may choose to go with a different order of using these resources, that suits your unique situation.

To you success,
Shiv Shenoy, PMP
